Canadian chief executive Rudge steps down (Reuters)

VANCOUVER, Apr 7 (Reuters) - The Canadian OlympicCommittee’s (COC) chief senior manager will step down next week aftersaying the country’s success in the Vancouver Winter Games madeit the good time to go.

Chris Rudge outlayed 7 years in the post as the countryprepared to horde the 2010 Olympics with the “Own the Podium”campaign designed to safeguard Canadian athletes made the goodshowing.
Rudge found himself fortifying the programme when Canadianathletes stumbled early in Vancouver but they went upon to win 14gold medals, the jot down for the horde country in the Winter Olympics.
“They say timing is everything and via my manycareers I’ve always celebrated that it is critical to know whento go,” Rudge pronounced in the statement.
The COC pronounced it had not yet chosen the replacement.
