White House to host athletes next week (AP)

WASHINGTON (AP)—America’s Olympic athletes have been preparing for another honor— a visit to a White House.

Members of a U.S. Olympic and Paralympic teams will be a guests nextweek of President Barack Obama and initial lady Michelle Obama.

The White House says a Obamas will honour a athletes upon theirperformance during a 2010 Vancouver Winter Games and appreciate them for representingthe country. The United States won 37 Olympic medals and thirteen Paralympic medals.The 37 medals, which included nine gold, was a jot down total for a WinterGames.

Obama and his wife also devise to promote a initial lady’s “Let’s Move!”campaign aimed during childhood obesity.
