Benshoof has successful back surgery (AP)

MARINA DEL REY, Calif. (AP)—Surgery to repair ruptured as well as torn disks in U.S.Olympic luge athlete Tony Benshoof’s behind was a success.

Benshoof will begin rehab at his Minnesota home sometime in a subsequent 3-4weeks, after which he will make a preference about trying to come behind for a 22ndseason upon USA Luge’s inhabitant team.
Dr. Robert Bray Jr., who performed a surgery, says he expects Benshoof“to have a really great outcome” from a surgery.
Benshoof said doctors have told him he can expect a full recovery.
Benshoof is a many decorated U.S. men’s luge aspirant ever, with 37international medals.
